68 is tough to beat imho.Īs a daily no thought shaver, the Ti. Workmanship is second to none with a feel that exudes quality, ease of use and top notch whisker cutting performance.Īs a daily no thought shaver, the Ti. Lastly, the classic safety razor features precise edging with a timeless design. Previous to getting this razor, I was using a stainless steel Rex Ambassador. And I can tell you right now, there's nothing like the feel of titanium alloy on your face, its hard to describe, which is why other's need to experience it for themselves. Personally, the Ti version is my favorite set up for a 3 piece DE in contemporary times and of the Timeless brand. The Timeless TI95, is my only truly high end razor. Furthermore, the thread is based solely on Timeless Razors and their many creations with countless options and alloys for one to mix & match to their hearts content. It just happens to be the best razor for them individually, nothing more, nothing less. However, though perhaps to the chagrin of those that hail their particular razor to be the best ever, I can not in earnest argue against their individual experience on how they determined that conclusion to be so. Timeless offers 4 different handles, the first being a 12mm and the remaining 3 being in 14mm gauge and those ordering the 'stand' will need to. Point is, one has no excuse in obtaining a decent shave. The issue was in no way a defect or deficiency in the razor, but it was a bit cumbersome for the first couple of months until the circular anchor points became smoother from continual razor seating. Absolutely not as one can choose from a myriad of paths from economical vintage razors, modern creations that are extremely affordable (Razorock for example) and the cheap disposable throwaways that will more than suffice any shavers particular needs, though they may not be environmentally sound. Ah ok gotcha I didn’t pick up on that. I absolutely love the way it works for me. Do we need high end luxury/exotic/performance gear to attain the highest level of shave acumen and results. 68 OC is Polished Ti, I got their first one when they showed it at the Maggards meetup. From Blackland, ATT (now defunct), Carbon, H&S, Rocnel, Atelier Durdan, Chiseled Face, Razor Emporium and a few others that I’ve failed to mention can all provide pride of ownership with superb performance attributes to back the price tag without batting an eye. ![]() I’m not going to dump on any particular razor brand or manufacturer because in reality there are a few makers that produce some incredible razor hardware where any shave individual can champion their personal grail razor. It can cut through everything and adapts its size and weight to the person currently holding the handle. In terms of value within the luxury razor division and the options that are present, Timeless is one of the best if not the best in its class. Razors are not polished or bead blasted they are machine finished.A very enjoyable shave with the Ti. If the action was ongoing or in progress in the past, the imperfecto (imperfect) form is used. verb form ending in -ing in English and -iendo/-ando). In English we use the present continuous to describe this action, while Spanish uses a similar form made up of the verb estar + the gerund ( gerundio a.k.a. (habitual) 1b) I attended class.Ģa) I am building a house. Consider the difference in meaning between the following examples:ġa) I have been attending class / I used to attend class. In English, we often use “have been” or “used to” to denote that an action is continuous (“progressive”), ongoing, or habitual. English still expresses these important distinctions, but often with a combination of verb tenses and extra auxiliary verbs.Īs we are focusing on the preterite in this guide, we will illustrate what a “completed” action means by contrasting it with an “ongoing” action. Spanish past tense forms allow speakers to use a convenient verb ending to express for how long an action occurred, whether it is habitual, or whether it was completed. However, English speakers should be careful not to overuse the preterite when other Spanish past tense forms would be more appropriate, such as the imperfect for ongoing actions. The preterite form of past tense should feel familiar to English speakers, as it is very similar to the English simple past tense (jump + -ed = jumped). Verb Preterite Stem Irregular Endings ser & ir fu- él fue, ellos fueron estar estuv- yo estuve, tu estuviste, él estuvo, nosotros estuvimos, vosotros estuvisteis, ellos estuvieron tener tuv- yo tuve, él tuvo poder pud- yo pude, él pudo hacer hic- (most subjects), hiz- (third person singular) yo hice, él hizo poner pus- yo puse, él puso decir dij- yo dije, él dijo ver vi- yo vi, él vio querer quis- yo quise, él quiso If you’re not familiar with these verbs, here are 50 common irregular preterite Spanish verbs to get you started.Īnother interesting phenomenon to note is that the ser and ir preterite conjugations are identical. Irregular verb conjugations take some memorization.įortunately, many of the most common irregular preterite verbs follow patterns, consisting of a new stem and different endings for a few subjects. Irregular Preterite VerbsĪll regular verbs can be transformed into the preterite tense easily. See our guide on Spanish pronouns if you need to brush up on the subject pronouns found in the “Person” category above. The preterite is used to describe actions which have been completed. The Spanish preterite tense is one of five forms used to describe actions or events that occurred in the past. I know this because I was so badly shaken by the experience that as soon as I got home and tossed the bucket of ice cream at my ungrateful family members who had no idea what a harrowing experience I had just endured, I ran immediately to the computer and researched like a madman. It’s not Water Lantern Festival-it’s just a water lantern festival. ![]() Was I so checked out, my citizenship so lazy, that I didn’t even know about Portland’s esteemed Water Lantern Festival? My thought was stupid.) As I made my way out of the park and toward the store where I was supposed to procure a bucket of ice cream for my mewling family, I found myself walking against the traffic of people who continued to file into the park. Was it possible that through some strange, multiple-decades-long sequence of events, I had never turned to a certain newspaper page, had never clicked the right web links, and had never overheard a conversation about the yearly lantern festival? The more I thought about this, the more I began to talk myself into the idea that this was not just possible, but in fact quite likely. ![]() I am not the most assiduous reader of the city’s newspapers (like many mid-tier cities, Portland no longer has a daily print paper), and I began to wonder if Portland did indeed have a lantern festival, but I had somehow never heard about or noticed it. Because I am an adult of great competence, however, I did what I usually do when confronted with something I don’t understand: I became disoriented and frightened. A banner read “Water Lantern Festival,” but I had no memory of lantern festivals in Portland. I could think of no particular holidays in early June. No matter where or how I looked, though, I could not discern just what the Officially Sanctioned Community Event was. I knew it was officially sanctioned because evident in great quantity were tents and banners, wristbands and branded knapsacks, the sound of amplified music, and food trucks. I assumed there would be the usual clutches of homeless people, a handful of folks smoking joints while watching their friends try to juggle exotic juggling implements the names of which I do not know, and of course people in the Dogs May Run Free and Terrorize Each Other Here area smiling in that determined, nervous way dog park folks smile, since they must be prepared for a dog- or human- or dogs-and-humans fight at any moment.īut that is not what I found at all! What I found instead was a park semi-full of people, all of them either already at, or walking rapidly toward, some kind of Officially Sanctioned Community Event. The BPRD decision drew a quick “thank you” reply from Mayor Kebler, also thanking the community members who helped clean up the river afterward. When I stepped into Laurelhurst Park in Portland, Oregon, last Saturday evening, I expected to find the park as lovely and quiet as it usually is at the end of the day. “This is due to the issues that arose with containing the lanterns during the event, as well as the lack of communication, lack of remorse and lack of clean-up efforts,” the park district said, adding: “The inaction doesn’t align with our community values.” However, Bend Park and Rec issued a statement and posted it to Instagram on Tuesday, saying they “notified organizers that any future event proposals for the Water Lantern Festival will not be approved.” Another representative said Wednesday that the cleanup "is in the process and gets better every day!" “We are working with local groups to help clean the river, and are grateful for their expertise and care for the river,” the official said. It was a very unfortunate accident that occurred this weekend during the lantern launch.” “We appreciate your care and concern for the Deschutes River. “We are doing our best to get the river back to its original condition,” she added. "We also appreciate the community members’ efforts over the weekend to remove debris that was found in the river."Ī festival representative told NewsChannel 21 on Tuesday, “This was a very rare event, as the water was just moving faster than we had anticipated and lanterns were tipping over our line of protection, causing some of them to flip and sink.” ![]() ![]() "BPRD is disappointed that the organizer’s plan to confine the lanterns to specific area was not successful," Brown added. ![]() I may be changing jobs that would require me to drive 90 miles each way, so I would like an engine that is reliable and fuel efficient. This has only happened to me a couple of times, but it does make the round feel a bit unfair. The game is meant to eventually overwhelm you naturally, but once in a great while, the game seems to forget you need stoplights or something else. ![]() ![]() Sometimes, I’ll be playing through a map and never get enough highways or other things that I feel like I need. The only issues with this game are its lack of rewards and the bad luck that rarely happens. As of now, there are no rewards for winning those challenges (that’s honestly fine because of the general leader board), but some kind of badge next to your name would look cool on the leaderboards showing how often you win. But the game does exactly what each arcade game should do have a weekly and daily challenge. These are pretty fun and offer a pretty large amount of challenge and hours of content. Each city has score goals, leader boards, and challenges. The game comes with a series of cities to build your roads on. There is a lot of nuance to these road systems, and it is amazing how well the game slowly builds from quaint and calm to chaotic and complex. These can help the flow of traffic a lot if used well. As time goes on also, players will be given resources to use throughout the city like bypasses, bridges, stoplights, and more. As the game goes on, more stores will be added, different color houses will need to be connected to different colored stores and then things become a desperate game of optimization. Players will connect those with roads that get filled with cars by going back and forth between the houses and stores. Each game starts out with just one store and a few houses of the same color. The real fun of the game comes from the chaos that grows after you have to make streets, highways, stoplights, circles, and more to connect an infinitely growing city. With some minor instances of bad luck here and there, this game is easily one of the most engaging and satisfying games I’ve played in 2021.Īs I mentioned above, the premise of the game is easy to grasp: connect places so cars can go to and come back from their destinations. The complexity and challenge come from placing roads and organizing a city with the materials given to you and having the flow of traffic as smooth and fast as possible. Mini Motorways is a straightforward game of placing roads between houses and stores. Never in my life did I think organizing traffic and setting up highways would be fun, let alone one of the best games I’ve played this year. If you love Mini Motorways and want to take it on the road or you want a fantastic indie game that tests your organization skills while being both exciting and relaxing, you can’t go wrong picking this up for the Switch. The zoom function feels a bit limiting being stuck to two settings, but that is really my only complaint. ![]() While using joy-cons or the touch screen never feels as precise or smooth as the mouse and keyboard on the PC, the game plays very well. Everything is here from the original game with the newest updates in lighting, new maps, and some other minor optimizations. This game is so perfect for short car rides, long stretches of travel, hanging out in a library, or anywhere. It was released on the Nintendo Switch this month and I couldn’t be happier to have this game on the go. Mini Motorways was one of my favorite games last year, below is the original review. ![]() car - The eBay/Amazon car shipment scam.advancefee/advance/advance-fee - The advance-fee scam.list - AutoMod will respond with a list of all current keywords. Here are the phrases the bot currently looks for: If you would like to help expand AutoModerator's knowledge base, message the moderators. But these boxy TVs were once, too, futuristic gizmos signifying the advent of a new age.Īmid the social upheavals of the 1960s, Paik saw technology’s capacity to alter the fabric of everyday life, and he critically responded to this by transforming TVs, radios, synthesisers - you name it - into artistic media. Coming from a century where flatscreen TVs and ultra-thin tablets are the norm, Paik’s world might look a little like an antique roadshow. The first thing you’ll notice is Paik’s obsession with TV sets, which fill the halls in all shapes, sizes and configurations. Rather than a strictly linear framework, the sections mark, “sites of concentration” - as senior curator June Yap puts it - within Paik’s practice. These include milestone events (such as Paik’s debut solo exhibition), technological experiments (robots, synthesisers), collaborative ventures, and points of influence (Fluxus, Asian aesthetics). The exhibition follows a loosely chronological structure consisting of 11 sections. With more than 180 works, this retrospective spans 5 decades of Paik’s art, occupying the Singtel Special Exhibition Gallery and the Basement Concourse. It’s the biggest blockbuster exhibition to hit town since Minimalism: Space. Previously presented at the Tate Modern in London, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, The Future is Now makes its first and last stop in Asia here at the Gallery. Paik’s pioneering aesthetics and his uncanny foresight take centre stage at the National Gallery Singapore’s latest exhibition, Nam June Paik: The Future is Now. Decades before the World Wide Web, Paik coined the term “electronic superhighway” in 1974, predicting a global, virtual, borderless sphere where we would all be connected by high-speed technology. It’s amazing that Paik’s vision hardly seems out of place today, considering how the artist, who was born nearly a century ago in 1932, worked not with iPhones but with Portapaks, synthesisers, and analog TVs. What do Nam June Paik’s art and TikTok have in common? Quite a bit, it seems: chaotically-spliced everyday imagery, rapid-fire video transitions, dizzying camera movements, snazzy jingles, and an irreverent sense of humour. ![]() avalon-temp Set avalon target temperature (default: 50) avalon-options Set avalon options baud:miners:asic:timeout:freq:tech avalon-freq Set frequency range for avalon-auto, single value or range avalon-fan Set fanspeed percentage for avalon, single value or range (default: 20-100) avalon-cutoff Set avalon overheat cut off temperature (default: 60) avalon-auto Adjust avalon overclock frequency dynamically for best hashrate au3-volt Set AntminerU3 voltage in mv, range 725-850, 0 to not set (default: 775) au3-freq Set AntminerU3 frequency in MHz, range 100-250 (default: 225.0) api-port Port number of miner API (default: 4028) api-network Allow API (if enabled) to listen on/for any address, default: only 127.0.0.1 api-mcast-port API Multicast listen port (default: 4028) api-mcast-des Description appended to the API Multicast reply, default: '' anu-freq Set AntminerU1/2 frequency in MHz, range 125 - 500 ( default: 250.0 ) -api-allow Allow API access only to the given list of IP addresses -api-description Description placed in the API status header, default: cgminer version -api-groups API one letter groups G :cmd:cmd defining the cmds a groups can use -api-listen Enable API, default: disabled -api-mcast Enable API Multicast listener, default: disabled -api-mcast-addr API Multicast listen address -api-mcast-code Code expected in the API Multicast message, don 't use ' - ' ( default disabled ) -enable-cointerra Compile support for Cointerra ASICs ( default disabled ) -enable-drillbit Compile support for Drillbit BitFury ASICs ( default disabled ) -enable-hashfast Compile support for Hashfast ( default disabled ) -enable-icarus Compile support for Icarus ( default disabled ) -enable-klondike Compile support for Klondike ( default disabled ) -enable-knc Compile support for KnC miners ( default disabled ) -enable-minion Compile support for Minion BlackArrow ASIC ( default disabled ) -enable-modminer Compile support for ModMiner FPGAs ( default disabled ) -enable-sp 10 Compile support for Spondoolies SP10 ( default disabled ) -enable-sp 30 Compile support for Spondoolies SP30 ( default disabled ) -disable-libcurl Disable building with libcurl for GBT support -enable-libsystemd Compile support for system watchdog and status notifications ( default disabled ) -without-curses Compile support for curses TUI ( default enabled ) -with-system-jansson Compile against dynamic system jansson ( default use included static jansson ) enable-avalon Compile support for Avalon ( default disabled ) -enable-avalon 2 Compile support for Avalon2/3 ( default disabled ) -enable-avalon 4 Compile support for Avalon4/4.1/6 ( default disabled ) -enable-avalon 7 Compile support for Avalon7 ( default disabled ) -enable-avalon 8 Compile support for Avalon8 ( default disabled ) -enable-bab Compile support for BlackArrow Bitfury ( default disabled ) -enable-bflsc Compile support for BFL ASICs ( default disabled ) -enable-bitforce Compile support for BitForce FPGAs ( default disabled ) -enable-bitfury Compile support for BitFury ASICs ( default disabled ) -enable-bitmine_A1 Compile support for Bitmine.ch A1 ASICs ( default disabled ) -enable-blockerupter Compile support for ASICMINER BlockErupter Tube /Prisma ![]() Don’t know how to knit?
